The special wear-resistant liner installed in the cone section is the key to cope with the harsh working conditions. In the ore discharge process, the cone section is subjected to strong abrasion by the ore, and the wear-resistant liner is made of high-strength, high-hardness and abrasion-resistant materials, such as chromium alloy cast iron, etc. This liner is able to effectively resist the abrasion of the ore. This kind of liner can effectively resist the friction and impact of the ore, even in a long time, high-intensity operating environment, but also can maintain good protective performance, greatly extending the service life of the cone part of the silo, reducing the frequency of equipment maintenance and replacement, reducing production costs.

The bottom-configured bar valve provides a convenient way to control the material flow in the silo. During normal operation, the bar valve can accurately adjust the material flow size according to the production demand, to ensure that the ore can enter the subsequent process according to the predetermined speed and flow. During equipment maintenance, it can reliably cut off the material flow, prevent the ore from leaking, create a safe working environment for maintenance personnel, and improve the convenience and safety of equipment maintenance.
- Efficient anti-clogging mechanism
In view of the problem that the ore is easy to accumulate and block in the cone, the silo is designed with suitable cone angle according to the material characteristics, and equipped with anti-clogging equipments such as pneumatic arch-breaking hammer and air cannon. These equipments can unclog the material in time when it is clogged, and through generating strong impact or vibration, break the accumulation structure of the material and restore the smooth flow of the material. For example, the pneumatic arch-breaking hammer loosens the material through high-frequency striking, while the air cannon uses the instantly released high-pressure gas to blow away the clogged material, which effectively guarantees the normal unloading function of the silo and avoids the production interruption caused by the clogging.

- Cache time
Generally set to 10 - 15min, this parameter is based on the overall production capacity of the production line, equipment maintenance cycles and material transportation intervals and other factors. For example, in a production line processing 100 tons of ore per hour, if the front-end mining equipment occasionally fluctuates in output for 10 - 15min, then the buffer silo cache time can well make up for this period of time to ensure that the back-end crushing equipment will not be shut down due to insufficient material supply.
- Liner performance
The hardness of special wear-resistant liners is usually between HRC50 - 65, with a high wear resistance coefficient. The thickness of the liner is usually between 15 - 30mm, which is selected according to the hardness of the ore and the impact force of the discharge. For example, for iron ore with high hardness, a liner with higher hardness and greater thickness may be selected to ensure that its wear resistance can meet the requirements of long-time use.

- Liner maintenance
Regularly check the wear of special wear-resistant liner, when the amount of wear reaches a certain level, such as the thickness of the liner is reduced by more than 20%, it should be replaced in a timely manner. When replacing the liner, make sure that the new liner is close to the cone of the silo and firmly installed, and can be welded or bolted and other reliable ways, and seal the connection parts to prevent the ore from entering the gap causing the liner to loosen or be damaged.
- Anti-blocking equipment inspection
Regularly check and maintain the anti-clogging equipment such as pneumatic arch-breaking hammer and air cannon. Check the wear and tear of the hammer head of the pneumatic arch-breaking hammer, the sealing of the air cylinder and the working pressure; conduct a pressure test on the air cannon's air tank, check whether the cannon tube is blocked and whether the solenoid valve works normally. Ensure that these equipments can start normally when needed and play the role of anti-clogging, and generally can be comprehensively inspected and test run once a month.
- Bar valve operation and maintenance
In the daily operation of the bar valve, the valve opening should be adjusted slowly according to the production demand, to avoid sudden change of material flow or damage to the valve due to over-hasty operation. Regularly clean the bar valve to prevent ore particles stuck in the valve strip affect the tightness of the valve closure. At the same time, the valve stem, bearings and other moving parts for lubrication and maintenance, can be quarterly, in order to extend the service life of the valve, to ensure its reliable flow control.
