Performance Characteristics:
- Strong impact resistance
The ore receiving hopper is specially designed to cope with the impact of large ore discharging and the abrasion of high hardness ore and other harsh working conditions. It adopts underground or semi-underground welded structure with high structural strength, which can effectively disperse and withstand the huge impact generated by the unloading of ore, ensuring that the hopper will not be deformed or damaged due to impact during long-term use. The special wear-resistant liner installed on the inner wall further enhances the hopper's abrasion resistance, which is usually made of high-strength, high-hardness and excellent wear-resistant materials, such as high-manganese steel, chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, etc., and maintains good integrity even when subjected to long-term friction and impact by high-hardness ores, which greatly prolongs the service life of the hopper.
- Reasonable volume design
The volume design meets the load capacity of not less than 2 trucks, which ensures that the hopper can effectively receive and store the ore unloaded from the trucks within a certain period of time, avoiding the situation that the trucks have to wait for unloading frequently due to the small volume of the hopper, and improving the unloading efficiency and continuity of the ore. Reasonable volume planning is also conducive to the smooth connection of subsequent crushing, transportation and other links, so that the entire ore processing process is more compact and efficient, reducing the waste of time and energy due to the accumulation of materials or waiting.
- Stable structural performance
Both the square and rectangular designs have undergone strict structural mechanics calculations and optimization to ensure stability under various complex stress situations. The welding process of the hopper is exquisite, with high quality weld seams, which can effectively prevent problems such as weld cracking. Its overall structure is solid and reliable, not only able to withstand the static weight of the ore, but also able to maintain balance and stability in the dynamic unloading process, which provides a solid foundation for the smooth feeding and subsequent processing of the ore, and reduces the risk of production interruption due to the structural failure of the hopper.
Main technical parameters:
- Volume specification
The volume size depends on the load capacity of the truck, generally speaking, if the load capacity of the truck is 30 - 50 tons, then the volume of the ore receiving hopper is usually 60 - 100 cubic meters and above. For example, when using 40 tons of ore trucks, the hopper volume may be designed for about 80 cubic meters, which can better meet the unloading needs of the two trucks, but also leave a certain buffer space for the subsequent material handling.
- Wear resistant liner performance
Specialty wear liners are typically hardened to HRC45 - 60 and have a high abrasion resistance factor, allowing them to maintain a low wear rate over long periods of time. For example, after a year of continuous processing of high hardness iron ore, the wear depth of a wear resistant liner may be only a few millimeters, greatly extending the maintenance intervals and service life of the hopper. The thickness of the liner is usually between 10 - 30 mm, selected according to factors such as the hardness of the ore and the impact strength, to ensure that the effective volume of the hopper is not compromised by an excessively thick liner while providing sufficient wear resistance.
Main application areas:
- Mining: in all kinds of metal mines and non-metallic mining operations, the ore receiving hopper is an important transition facility for the transportation of ore from the mining site to the processing link. It can receive the ore from the pit and transported by trucks, for the subsequent crushing, screening, beneficiation and other processes to provide a stable supply of raw materials, is a key link in the entire mine production process.
- Ore processing: In the ore processing plant, whether it is to process the raw ore into concentrate powder, or to carry out other forms of deep processing of ore, the ore receiving hopper plays the role of collecting and storing the ore. Its good receiving performance and impact resistance can adapt to different sources and properties of the ore raw materials, to ensure the smooth progress of the processing, improve the efficiency and quality of ore processing.
Important Tips:
- Liner maintenance and replacement
Regularly check the wear of the wear-resistant liner, when the wear reaches a certain level, such as the depth of wear more than one-third of the thickness of the liner, it should be replaced in time. When replacing the liner, make sure that the new liner is installed firmly and the welding quality is reliable, so as to avoid ore leakage or damage to the structure of the hopper due to the loosening of the liner.
- Hopper cleaning and inspection
Regularly clean the ore receiving hopper to prevent the accumulation of lumps of ore in the hopper, affecting the normal receiving and discharging function of the hopper. In the process of cleaning, check whether there are deformation, cracks and other problems in the structure of the hopper, especially after a large impact or prolonged use, timely detection and repair of potential safety hazards to ensure the safe and stable operation of the hopper.
- Safety Protection
In the process of ore unloading and receiving, obvious warning signs and protective facilities should be set up to prevent people from entering the dangerous area by mistake. At the same time, the unloading port of the hopper, feeder and other equipment to provide safety protection, to avoid clogging of the ore or equipment failure caused by safety accidents, such as ore splash injuries and so on.
