Closed coal storage silos have a large storage capacity of up to 120m in diameter, with a storage capacity of 2 - 200,000 tons, which can meet the bulk storage needs of coal enterprises of different scales and adapt to seasonal fluctuations in coal production and sales as well as changes in the market. Coal storage silo is suitable for the occasions of site limitation and small storage capacity, adopting steel plate silo, with the single silo storage capacity of 0.5 - 30,000 tons, covering a small area, which can realize the effective storage of coal in the limited space, and with the low investment cost and short construction cycle, it can be put into use quickly and improve the turnover efficiency of coal resources.

 

- Coal Storage

The diameter ranges from 60 - 120m, different diameters correspond to different storage capacity, and the height is generally between 20 - 50m according to the storage capacity and site requirements. The spraying intensity of the internal spraying dust suppression system can be adjusted between 5 - 20L/(m²・min) according to the amount of coal dust generated and the ventilation condition of the warehouse to ensure effective dust suppression. The load bearing capacity of the steel structure net frame should be designed to meet the pressure at the maximum stacking height of coal, and the general steel is Q345 and other high-strength steel, and the cross-section size of the rods is determined according to the mechanical calculation.

- Coal storage silo

The thickness of steel plate silo is between 6 - 16mm, which is determined according to the silo diameter and height as well as the coal storage pressure. The diameter of the silo is generally between 10-30m, the height is between 15-40m, and the storage capacity of a single silo is between 0.5-3 million tons. Its supporting inlet and outlet equipment such as belt conveyor has a conveying capacity of 100 - 1000t/h, which can meet the demand of coal inlet and outlet of the silo.

 

- Coal producers: Whether it is the storage of raw coal in large-scale coal mines or the storage of refined coal in coal washing plants, closed coal storage silos can provide large-capacity storage space to ensure the stable transition between the production and sales of coal. Coal storage silos, on the other hand, can be used in small coal mines or coal storage points attached to coal mines to realize efficient coal storage under limited space, facilitating short-term storage and rapid transshipment of coal.

- Coal logistics and ports: In coal logistics parks and port terminals, closed coal storage depots can be used for the transit storage of large quantities of coal, which is convenient for the loading and unloading, deployment and transportation of coal. Coal storage silos can be used for categorized storage of coal or as temporary emergency coal storage facilities to improve the flexibility and reliability of coal logistics.

 

- Coal storage silo maintenance

Regularly inspect the spherical mesh shell and steel structure mesh frame of the closed coal storage silo to see if there is any corrosion, deformation, loose bolts, etc., and carry out anticorrosive treatment and tightening and repair in time. Carry out maintenance on the spray nozzles, pipelines, water pumps and other equipment of the dust suppression system to ensure their normal operation, clean the spray nozzles regularly to prevent clogging, and check the operating parameters and sealing performance of the water pumps.

- Coal storage silo management

The coal storage silo should pay attention to the anti-corrosion of the steel plate, and regularly apply anti-corrosion coatings. Regularly check and debug the inlet and outlet equipment to ensure the smooth flow of coal in and out of the silo. Monitor the temperature and humidity in the silo to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal, and once the temperature is found to be abnormally high, take timely cooling measures, such as injecting inert gas. At the same time, the amount of coal stored in the silo should be reasonably controlled to avoid overloading resulting in damage to the silo structure.
