Before installation, be sure to conduct a detailed survey of the installation site to ensure that the site foundation is firm and level, and meet the installation requirements of the gear box. Carefully check the suitability of the model and specification of the gear box with other parts of the bridge grab ship unloader, and operate in strict accordance with the installation instructions to ensure that the connecting parts are installed accurately, tightly and reliably, so as to prevent the equipment from vibration, offset and other abnormalities during operation due to improper installation, which will affect the performance and service life of the equipment.

Before the first operation, the gear box should be fully cleaned internally, check the installation and lubrication status of the gears, bearings, shaft seals and other key components, and refill the lubricant according to the specified oil level and oil requirements. When starting, should first carry out no-load test run, observe the operation of the equipment, check whether there is any abnormal sound, vibration, heat and other phenomena, such as abnormalities should be immediately shut down to check and troubleshooting.

During operation, establish a regular inspection system, focusing on checking the oil temperature, oil pressure, vibration, noise and other key indicators of the gear box, as well as the opening and closing of the grab, the wear and tear of the traveling track. According to the running time and working conditions of the equipment, the maintenance cycle is reasonably arranged, lubricating oil, filters and other wearing parts are replaced in time, and wear and tear tests and precision adjustments are carried out on gears, bearings and other key components.

Long-term out of service or seasonal out of service equipment, before decommissioning should do a good job of equipment cleaning, anticorrosion, rust treatment, the gear box lubricant discharge clean and properly stored. Before re-activation, it is necessary to carry out a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the equipment, and make preparations in accordance with the requirements before the first operation, including refilling lubricating oil, checking the connection of various components, etc., to ensure that the equipment can be safely and reliably put back into operation.
