Daily monitoring points
Daily/weekly monitoring:
- Oil level (‘centre of sight glass’ only applies when gearbox is not in operation)
- Oil temperature (should be below 65-70°C)
- Filter pressure drop (normally < 2 bar)
- Vibration/noise
- Oil spills
Maintenance of the gearbox
① The gear reducer part should be well ventilated, and the working environment temperature should be within the range of 5℃-35℃.
② often check the amount of gear lubricant oil in the box to ensure that the transmission parts of the box have good lubrication.
③ Pay attention to frequently check the box bearing parts, the temperature change should not exceed 45 ℃ when working.
④ Newly put into use gear reducer work 500h after cleaning the box oil, and re-replace the lubricating oil.
⑤ The gear reducer should be inspected once a year for regular maintenance, the contents of the work are as follows:
a. Remove the cover of the gear reducer, check the wear and mesh of the working surfaces of the transmission gears, if there are burrs or shallow pits on the mating surfaces, use the oil stone to grind them smooth; the gears with serious wear should be mapped and prepared for the manufacture of accessories. For the next maintenance replacement.
b. Check the bearing wear. First of all, clean the bearings, check whether the inner jacket cracks; observe the size of the idling noise and radial clearance size, such as not found any problem. If no problem is found, add some grease and continue to use.
c. Check whether the lubricating oil in the box is cleaned, such as oil mixed with impurities or metal powder is more, the lubricating oil should be filtered to remove impurities, and then make up the amount of lubricating oil.
d. After cleaning and inspecting the parts inside the case, install the cover; add enough grease to each bearing part, replace the oil seal and tighten the bearing cover.
e. Clean the outside of the gearbox to keep the equipment clean.
Principle of replacement of gearbox parts
① If the gear involute meshing tooth surface appears deeper wear pit, work rotation noise and irregular, often have shock vibration phenomenon, this gear should be replaced.
② The inner sleeve or outer sleeve of the ball bearing is cracked; the ball holder is damaged; the radial clearance of the inner and outer sleeve is large; the bearing rotates noisily when rotating the outer sleeve. Rolling bearing cleaning, if found to have one of the above damage phenomenon, rolling bearing should be replaced.
Gear, bearing replacement and installation precautions
① gears, bearings before installation should be cleaned, trimmed to remove burrs.
② test replacement gear hole and assembly shaft and key and keyway dimensions, should meet the drawing requirements of the fit tolerance; replacement of rolling bearings should be the same as the original bearing type.
