Industrial Gearboxes, also often called reduction gearboxes, are a kind of mechanical transmission device widely used in the industrial field. Industrial gearboxes mainly through a series of gear meshing to change the input power speed and torque, to achieve the purpose of deceleration and torque. Various types of gearboxes, such as straight-toothed cylindrical gears, helical cylindrical gears, bevel gears, worm gears and so on, which are well known in the machinery industry, belong to industrial gearboxes.

The main products of SGR, such as planetary gear reducer, ring face worm gear reducer, combined gear reducer, cylindrical worm gear reducer, as well as small speed reducer motor, also belong to the category of industrial gearbox. Industrial gearboxes are used in a wide range of applications, such as paper, sugar, cement, chemical and rubber industries, all of which rely on the powerful functions of industrial gearboxes to help them complete their industrial production.

Features of Industrial Gearboxes
Industrial gearbox is a broader concept that includes various types of gearing devices for speed and torque conversion to meet the Power transmission needs of different industrial applications. In the modern industrial sector, more and more industrial gearbox manufacturers have started using innovative modular gearboxes to increase production. This demand has prompted industrial gearbox manufacturers to produce robust and sophisticated devices that reduce noise, withstand higher load capacities and provide efficient output.

Types of Industrial Gearboxes
There are different types of gears present in industrial gearboxes and each type has its own advantages and disadvantages:

a. Spur gear box:

This is the simplest gearbox in design. It is capable of handling high gear ratios with an efficiency of up to 98 per cent. However, this gearbox is very noisy and can only be used in scenarios where the noise is acceptable.

b. Helical Gearbox:

In a helical gearbox, the gears are usually locked at 90 degrees. They are usually in parallel or crossed position. Parallel gearboxes have a higher load capacity than crossed gearboxes. Due to the helical gear design, helical gearboxes are much quieter in operation than spur gearboxes and make very little noise.

At the same time, there are different types of helical gearboxes, such as the bevel gear helical gearbox, which provides movement between non-parallel shafts and is often used in the mining industry; the coaxial helical in-line gearbox, which is a very efficient gearbox designed to operate with little friction, and is used in heavy-duty applications, such as lifting, construction, and tank manufacturing; and the helical bevel gearbox, which is a very rigid gearbox with high strength and is ideal for transporting heavy loads, strong and ideal for transporting heavy loads.

Usage and maintenance of industrial gearboxes
Industrial gearboxes not only provide important advantages in manufacturing products in the industrial sector, but they also help maintain industrial systems. The use of industrial gearboxes to increase torque, match inertia, and reduce speed helps to reduce system operation and overall wear and tear on industrial systems.
